new gen. taurus fuel tank capacity(noob)

how many gallons does the new taurus's fuel tank hold? i am going to be purchasing my parents taurus and i am trying to figure out gas costs. thanks in advance

also, what do your taurus's get for MPG?? in-town drving and such

My 2001 SES holds 18gal. I get about 18-20 in the city, and 25-28 hwy.

Something to watch for though: my Gen 2 ('95 with 16 gallon tank) and Gen 4 ('00 with 18 gallon tank) kick off the pump flow when 13 to 13.5 gallons have been pumped into the tanks, and will only take more if I force the pump to stay on. So be careful of using the absolute tank volume to calculate mileage.

You can look in the owners manual and it will tell you how many gallons the fuel tank is.
