You now, there's really no need for this kinda thread. I mean, in my experience, speed = money. If you have the money to spend, you can make the power, be it firebird, mustang, camaro, and so on and so forth. If my bird gets put down by a 'Stang with a supercharger or a ricer with NOS, oh well, they put the money out for it so they got what they paid for. Ok, I'm done ranting, flame away :)

I think we can do without these kind of threads but then again this isn't my forum. Its everyones so if anyone feels its necessary to make comments about how much you don't like Mustangs and how cool the Firebird is and is the greatest car ever made flame away but I happen to like both and both had there strong years and there not so strong years..

i would think a 1973 SD455 *stock* Trans Am would have the best 1/4 mile time, and 0-60 time too.
As i see its your first post,im going to explain this thread to you
This thread can only cause arguements. When you create a *this versus that thread*,it usually makes people mad,and starts arguements.Money and intellect are what wins. Firebirds and Mustangs both have a world of potential.they both can have four wheel disk brakes. You can put a wheelie bar and parachute on both.Firebirds and Mustangs have one of the widest array of performance aftermarket parts.
If you like ford go with ford,if you like pontiac get you a pontiac. But you cant really pick a better one cause they both have almost limitless potential.

I have heard that the 80's-90's Mustangs had a hard time keeping the front ends down/maintaining control once they reached a certain level of power under the hood...shorter wheel base or some such crap...but yea, both do have rediculous potential if you have the money.

its really just what you have versus what you can
afford right, you can make anything good or bad ,
besides whats the use of having a rod , or a forum
without a lil taunting, do you whip on cars when you go by with your staights?
lets not get skid marks in our draws just yet...
let wait till I bring up that silly fool Owens that plays
for Philly what a retard

I have had plenty of debates with both those guys and they are actually not biased at all. Infact most of Gtstangs friends drive GM's and he even made a thread in one of the competition or racing forums about beating a Mustang while driving a 94 Z28. So lets not give those guys a bad rap from just one disagreement.
