I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT. There is a leak somewhere near the sensor for the low washer fluid level that makes the light on the dash flash on and off. The problem is that the reservoir is located under the battery and very difficult to access to check it out. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, can it be fixed? Any help would be greatly appreciated as the flashing light is driving me crazy.

Hi - My daughter has a sort of similar problem with a 2000 Grand Prix GTP. After a rain storm, water is collecting on the passenget side of the car. Our mechanis thinks the drain is stopped up on the passenger side of the firewall but he doesn't want to rip us off by taking apart the dash.
Has anyone out ther had this problem and corrected it?
I have looked at the manual which is not much help. This appears to be a common problem with Grand Prix's and if you take the car to a dealer, they put in a new windshield which only solves GM budgetary problems.
Please help . Thank you.

You can access the windshield washer tank by taking off the wheel and removing the inner fenderwell cover. Its about 6 or so screws. Theres one under the front valence and...well you'll see them. You dont even need to take it all the way off. Just the front part and the washer tank is right there.
Wow, I just noticed this thread is 2 months old.
