i know that only the ex and si's had the z6 in them, but a guy is trying to sell me a complete head off of a 94, but it has Vtec-E not the regular vtec. I need to know what the advantages and disadvantages are for the Vtec-E!!! thx anyway tho. anyone else?

Only HX models have VTEC-E I think.
You can go here (http://asia.vtec.net/spfeature/vtecimpl/vtec1.html) to read up on it. The VTEC-E description is near the bottom.

the 5th gen VX had VTEC-E. It was a 1.5L SOHC VTEC-E. Only the 92-95 Civic EX coupe and Civic HB Si had the 1.6L SOHC VTEC. The 6th gen had the HX Coupe which was also VTEC-E.

isn't VTEC-E supposed to be one of those enviromentally friendly ones?

whatever you do do not get that head or engine. like some of the other people had mention its for economy example good gas milage and clean enviroment. you will not notice vtec cuz of minor grind to the cam. very little horse power 92 to be exact. if u looking for a mini me swap or cheaper way for an increase of power swap the 92-95 head or motor from a si or ex. its the d16z. plus with that head/motor and if you decide to upgrade parts to it, you have hard time passing smog cuz i did and its hard for me to pass smog compare to other head/engine upgrades cuz of the enviroment safty...sorry bout long post
