87 cherokee , 3 water pumps blown in 2 months???

I have had the water pump replaced 3 times in the last 2 months, my mechanic
feels it was part of a bad batch?? looking for advice.

I don't know, kinda hard to believe all the pumps would be from a bad batch. Overtightening the fan belt can cause the water pump to go bad, hope he isn't cranking your belt down too hard

And I hope he is not charging you anymore!! This "mechanic" :loser: Is doing something wrong, overtighting belt or reusing old parts. :2cents:
