Has anyone here modified the exhaust on a bird with the 3.8 V6 N/A? Has anyone gotten it to sound relatively good? Id like a nice rumble, but I realize it will never sound as nice as a V8 would. I was thinking of just removing everything behind the first muffler (since its only clamped on) and putting a 90 that goes out right behind the drivers side door. Will this sound good at all? lol

(If i remove everything behind the first muffler, the exhaust will still go thru both cats and that muffler before coming out)

Have you looked into anything like a glass pack or anything like that. They seem to make most cars sound so muche better. www.jcwhitney.com has them really cheap.

How would the exhaust sound if i just pulled everything behind that muffler off? would i have any sound at all? Or would it just be raspy? Like that classic straight piped thunderbird "pissed off bees" sound? lol

it usually wont sound good unless it is actually done good. I say buy a flowmaster muffler, or two, and have them installed. It should sound decent.

In some states you can't have the exhaust come out in front of the rear wheel of a passenger car due to the chance of carbon monoxide poisoning. Ask at your local inspection station to see if it's legal. Stay alive and put it out the back!

What do you think of the MagnaFlow mufflers for the 3.8?
