92 GMC Sierra 350

Just bought my dads 92 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 350 engine. Truck only has 50,00 miles and has been inside the garage most of the time. I know very little about GMC trucks and have not been able to find much on the web about this model year. What is the HP/tourque of the 350 and what kind of fuel injection does it have? The engine really seems smooth and responsive, can you tell me anything about the fuel injection? What would be the towing capacity of this truck? Any other info would be helpful. I have a Toyota Tacoma but it wasn't cutting it in the towing catgory so this is a great second truck for me. Also it is a 2wd. Thanks!

This truck has 190hp and 230 lbs/ft of torque it is throttle body injected and being that it is two wheel drive it has tons of potential. I own one myself and with a little bit of patents and a relitavely small budget your truck will haul ass. mine does 13.50s at 120 in the quarter mile

Thanks for the information. Sure is a smooth engine. I would like to hear about your mods. Do they still use the trottle body injection in any vehicles. Like I said I'm a Toyota owner and they are noted for smooth engines but this 350 puts them to shame. This one has a fake dual exaust (two pipes from one muffler) should be easy to convert to duals. Thanks for the reply.

I have a 95 GMC 1500 V8 5.7l with a 350 engine. I have a Flowmaster dual exhaust, Airaid throttel body spacer, K&N cold air intake, Accel 8mm spark plug wires, Accel distribuitor cap and rotor, AcDelco rapid fire plugs and all these cost me around 450-500$ but I have a lot more power than before. I plan to change the pulleys, put a high flow cat converter and a Hypertech chip. Regarding your question about the true dual exhaust it is simple to do but it will cost a lot of money. You are looking around 800-1000$. You'll have to change the headers, add a cat plus 2 mufflers.
