Daytime Running Lights

I have a 1999 Olds Bravada. When I step on the brakes, the daytime running lights click off and the interior lights dim (like when you turn the headlights on). Let off of the brake and the running lights come back on and the interior lights brighten back up. Any clues? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
