Sorry if this is not the right place, I couldn't find anywhere else to post it but here..

I want to buy some Kicker CVR 12' Subs and a Kicker Amp. I'm not sure which amp is best for these subs. They are 4OHM Dual Voice Coil and 400watts RMS. Details here:

http://www.etronics.com/product.asp?stk_code=kic03cvr104&store=&catid=368

I also want an amp (preferably from that site). I'm not sure which one would go good with these. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

If you get the dual 4 ohm 12s, then youll need a 2 channel amp that will give you 3-400 wrms @ 4ohms bridged.

OR.. you could go with the dual 2 ohm subs and get a mono amp that puts 3-400 watts @ 2 ohms.

look around on that site and see if they have any which fit these requirements. My only suggestion would be to just have sounddomain.com pricematch the etronics price (they usually do, just go to the sub you want and click the 105% pmp button).. sounddomain is an authorized dealer and is much more legit than etronics. i did some research on the site back in the day when i was looking for my subs.

Get a class d that does around 750 watts rms at 1 ohm. or 750x1 at 4 ohm

Which one do you guys think is best suited for 2x12' 400watts RMS Kicker CVR subs? Could all of these work with the 2 subs well?

Also, where's the price match thing on the site? Thanks again.

damn i had a huge response typed out and it lost it..

and i screwed up eariler when i said 400 rms i meant 800
anyways basically.. no the amp wouldnt work unless you get the dual 2 ohm subs.. and i still wouldnt go with it cause i prefer mono amps for subs.

id suggest a mono amp that does like 800 rms @ 2 ohms with 2 dual 2 ohm VRs..
i think it might be cheaper than an amp that does 800@ 1 ohm. if you stay with kicker then this is the only one i found was the 600.1 mono.. its 600 watts but that will still get those subs moving about as good at 7 or 800 will.

but again if it was me i would find somethin a little cheaper with a little more power... unless you must stay with kicker

thanks for the reply and info.

I bolded one part of your message. Example of what's better? I have't bought anything yet but Kicker is near the top for me..

Well, I don't see one either... but they have a "Return, Refund and Exchange Policy". I don't get the shipping and they take 15% of it and keep it though...

ok... i thought you hadnt yet bought the subs so you were just looking at amps so you could order them all at once.. thats why i was making the dual 2 suggestions.. so do you have the subs already or do you still have a choice?

and as far as the ebay amp goes.. a lot of people have great luck on ebay.. but my buddy got an amp from ebay (rockford fosgate) and he blew a transistor. it was after the 45 day warranty so he was screwed. I think from now on most of my stuff is coming from authorized dealers cause i think its worth the extra 20-50 bucks or soemthin to be able to know that if your shit blows you can get it fixed.

like i said though the price is great for most stuff so if youre lucky and nothin goes bad with your amp then it was well worth it. its your choice.

I have't boughten anything at all yet. I'm highly interested in Kicker subs. I'm avoiding Audiobahns altogether..

ohhhhshiz i thought u already had them. Honestly dude L7's might as well be audiobahns.....they aren't very efficient, they'll blow right around rms or a little above for daily use, its HARD to get low end out of them, and they're pure fart machines IMO..... yes you CAN get them to sound good, but not very easily...... Check out RE's SE line....... www.reaudio.com. And hifonics bx1500d's on ebay. Let me put it to you this way..... I know a guy who had 2 l7's in a ported box in his acura with 600 watts. He heard my SExxx's from re in a ported box in my mustang off 300 watts. Not only were my subs INSANELY louder, but they sounded better and had SOOOOO much more low end.
