EGR Valve Location

I had the "Service Engine" Light come on. From ideas found in this forum, it might be the EGR Valve. I put Fuel Injector Cleaner in the tank, but the light is still on.
Should I try this again? Where exactly is the EGR Valve so I can try to clean it with carb cleaner, as has also been suggested here. Thanks.

Did you clear the code before putting in the fuel injector cleaner? I did it to mine, and then put the cleaner in and the light has not come back on, ( it's been a few months.) The EGR is on top of the engine on the driver's side. If you have a manual, (I've used Haynes,) it shows the location better and what it looks like. It has wires coming off the top to locate it easier. I was told at Autozone , that removing it and spraying the carb cleaner inside might dissolve some of the carbon and open the ports. This has worked for some people, depending on how bad the buildup is.
