My TJ has suddenly developed a transfer case leak. Im sure this is an easy fix, but Im a little mechanically challenged. Its leaking from the case itself. Do I just need to replace the seal? And how involved is it ?

Which seal is it leaking from?
rear output, front output, transmission flange, one of the bearing covers or the case split?

Oh, guess I left out some kinda important info huh? It's leaking from the case split.

you can try some sealer from the outside but that is not the right fix.
The transfer case should be taken out and split and resealed with a thin bead of silicone to do the job right.
You'll need a manual for sure and replace all the seals while you are at it.
