Girlfriend's flashers/hazards not working. Checked bulbs first and found they were all good. Therefore, i assumed a burned-out flasher was the problem. Went and purchased a flasher only to find I could not locate the flasher in her car. I have read other posts and i am led to believe it is located somewhere under the steering wheel or near the brake/gas/clutch pedals.

I looked underneath and found a small hatch. upon opening it there was a message inscribed on the hatch which read "for detailed information on fuses, consult owner's manual" or something like that. Well, haha, my girlfriend does not have the owners manual. I looked up inside that hatch with a flashlight and saw only a mess of wires.

Now, am i close? Do I have to unscrew the entire panel to find this stupid flasher? I read another post about someones 95 Grand Am and they said there was a white box that contained the flasher, but I saw no white box in this particular car. Someone please help me!

I'm not sure where it is located but you could probably stop at Autozone they usually have schematics of the wiring and location for parts like this.

You have the location right, you should see a pink plastic box up there - its next to it.

Hazzard flasher will be next to the chime module (pink box), left side of the steering column. You will need to remove the kick plate and cover underneath the steer column. The signal flasher is on the right side of the steering column.
