NO NO NO..did you not read the secret GM owners posting policy :nono:
You must trash the vehicle and GM, Demand a recall for the things that don't work and then complain about the recall and demand the vehicle be bought back because it is a lemon and then swear on all that is holy that you will never by another GM vehicle :evillol:
Seriously, glad you like the truck and it sounds like you got a great deal.
Happy Motoring
Unfortunately I am unable at this time to send a private message or e-mail about the tone of this post, so here's the deal for all to see. There are those people, including myself who find the TB and GM, shall we say, hard to deal with. We have come to this site to express our concerns and see if anyone else is having the same difficulty with their TB that we are. When we begin to see a trend in which there are many people out there experiencing the same difficulties that we are, we tend to get frustrated. We then air our frustrations online where we know that there are others who understand what we are dealing with.
I don't know about other TB's, because this is the only one I've ever had, but I can safely say that mine has experienced a remarkable amount of repairs in the short time I have owned it. I do feel that there is such thing as a lemon car and that there are times when the manufacturer should stand behind their product. I work in the medical field and if we treated our patients the way that some of us have been treated by automobile manufacturers, there would be many more malpractice suits because you are dealing with someone's life. But the question is, when you make a car and someone drives it, are you not responsible for that person's life also? If the child in the back seat gets pneumonia because there is no heat and it's below freezing outside, are you not putting that child's life at risk?
Hopefully my point has been made as this is the last post I will ever make in the TB section of this forum. I do not appreciate the tone of the posts implying that the users are unreasonable and want the impossible.

You may have gotten a lemon, I don't know. What GM Merlin is refering to is the group that whines constantly about how bad all GM products are because they had to put a new belt on or some silly crap. If you think TB's have problems, try going to a BMW forum sometime at least a tune up on your TB won't cost you $2500!
Why do you think he was picking on you, anyway?

I wasn't picking on anyone. Matter of record is that sunspec wasn't even involved in the thread this comment was taken from.
here is the thread (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=188235)
Matter of fact the comment was made sarcastically to someone that posted something about thier TB without a major complaint
I just got my 02 TB about 3 weeks ago. Already had the 4WD lights flicker. Oh well. Not really worried, stuff breaks you just ahve to fix it. As for Driver 1 and 2 issues Im the only one who drives it so I ahve both settings exactly the same. So stuff like the mysterious mirror moving never happens.
If sunspec or anyone else is not satisfied with their GM product, then they have every right to voice their opinion as I have the right to voice mine.
I have spent many hours assisting people here not only on repairs, but how to deal with service departments and what happens on the other end when the tech looks at the vehicle.
sunspec if you have a problem with me, turn on your ability to PM and discuss it with me.
As far as looking back on your posts, I see nothing where you and I had a conversation about anything.
Gm builds a quality product and backs it with quality service and parts. if they didn't I would not have owned and driven GM products for the last 24 years.
I work on these things everyday, do you think I would own one if I knew they were junk?

I work in the medical field and if we treated our patients the way that some of us have been treated by automobile manufacturers, there would be many more malpractice suits because you are dealing with someone's life.
Unfortunately most of your victims can't sue
But the question is, when you make a car and someone drives it, are you not responsible for that person's life also?
The vehicles meet or in most cases exceed the goverments standards
If the child in the back seat gets pneumonia because there is no heat and it's below freezing outside, are you not putting that child's life at risk?
I'm no Respiratory Therapist , but I thought pneumonia was caused by a viral or bacterial infection see here for info (http://www.lung.ca/pneumonia/causes.html)
Hopefully my point has been made as this is the last post I will ever make in the TB section of this forum. I do not appreciate the tone of the posts implying that the users are unreasonable and want the impossible.
I never implied that the users were unreasonable or wanted the impossible...but there are some who are
