Climate control dead

The climate control in my 2001 Aurora is completly dead. Where the temerature is normally displayed shows only the symbols for the degrees, and not the temperature itself.

Also, the headlights do not automatically come on. Whenever I open the door, there's a constant beep until I close it, as if I opened the door with the headlights still on.

I had this problem for a little over a month. Then it just started working for about another month, until last Saturday when it died again. It's hasn't been working since.

I checked out the fuses and they are all working. Has anybody heard of a problem like this?
