With all 4 tires on the ground you won't be able to turn the front driveshaft unless there is an axle disconnecton the front axle housing.
I don't think a 90 will have that yet but someone can correct me if I'm wrong.....
The driveshaft is connected to the pinion in mesh with the ring gear bolted to the cage where the diff pinions are pinned. The diff pinions are meshed with the axle gears that are splined to the axles with the wheels bolted to the axle hub..........
The transfer case can disengage from the front drive shaft in 2wd but the wheels will still turn the drive shaft with the fulltime hubs on the front axle.
If you want the driveshaft to not turn in 2wd, you need the parttime hubs or the front jeep axle with the disconnect..
