Just wondering if there is any model 240sx's out there. I know there is Civics, RSX's, whole bunch of others but are there any 240s? Just wondering, thanks a lot.

Go to the Car Modelling FAQ and look for the section on 'where can I buy models'.

Tamiya made the 240SX but they are out of production and they are pretty hard to find.

The first 3 I found, not recommending them, just pointing out that Google will assist you. I just searched on "1/24" "S14" or "s13"

If you wait long enough you should be able to find the Tamiya 180sx on ebay. They seem to pop up every once-in-a while. It is a lot better quality then the Fujimi one that I also bought. It also includes the left-hand drive and the 240sx decals. Its all up to you though. Just my 2 cents.

Just to clarify things. there has NEVER been a true 240sx coupe model. there are fastback and 180sx and JDM versions galore but no coupe has ever been made as they where only released in US and Canada. you would need the front of a 180sx and the rear of a silvia k's to build a coupe. but you havent clarified which 240sx you want.

I got my tamiya 180 in mint condition for a total of $16.70 off ebay. So if he waits for one, he might get lucky and get a good deal like I did. It all depends on if he wants it now or can wait. But I would definetly go with that one over the Fujimi ones. At least the initial-D one, its not a good kit at all and its over-priced.

Overseas shipping isnt alot, the only problem is, if its backordered and not in stock it will take a while.

Shipping overseas is proportional to how much you ship and the total weight/volume.
If you go on hlj.com they have a little feature which helps you figure out the estimated shipping of a kit to the country you're in, it's generally pretty accurate too.

i would like to build one with the s15 conversion and paint it signal auto style. But then again, i dont have the skills, nor the bills to make it happen. Im worknig on a 1953 Ford victoria pace car that i am somewhat customizing, but i have no pictures. I do have pictures of a paused build that had moderate work done on it, but i forgot to load them up. I would like to work on one of the 180's or something, but i dont have the time or money. If someone is interested on donig it, it would be awesome to see...
