Is Fight Club so good?

I have seen Fight Club because the movie scores 8,6/10 on Imdb.com.
I was full of expectation when I started watching the movie and I kept watching until the end, because I hoped it would get better.
Sorry, but it didn't happen. Everyone thinks this is such a good movie. Is it because I have seen Secret Window before Fight Club?
Both movies deal with a psychopath with multiple personalities.
Sorry, but I was disappointed in Fight Club.

the more you watch it the better it gets, you pick up on things you didn't notice before. you should read the book... it's better than the movie (always is)

Fight Club is a terrific flim, you wouldn't have known the movie would be about anyhting else except Fighting from the previews. I can see how you'd dislike it, it's very weird, but Fincher's films are great. I just love the ending, where the buildings are collapsing, and the Pixies song is playing along. Classic.

the books are always better than the movies lol
but fight club was wicked. must see, and really, who gives a shit if some old or sophisticated or sensitive people gave it a bad review - can't always trust reviews, OR what you see on the previews for that matter. so many movies i've really liked were the ones i thought looked absolutely stupid from the previews (and i thought i had seen everything/figured out the plot).

I thought that it was a great movie. The first time I watched it, I totally forgot about the very beginning of the movie so I was very surprised by the ending.

It was a good movie, messed up, but it was pretty good.

If you look at the movie just for being a movie and to be entertained then you'll enjoy it much less. If you sit there and think about the movie as you're watching it, it will be an entirely different film altogether for you. That's my 2 cents anyway.

It was a fantastic movie - one of those ones where you don't really get it on all levels the first time unless you're really switched on. Like American Beauty or The Matrix.

I didn't like it. Even the 10th time.
Maybe I just don't get it? :dunno:

It's a movie about how far one would go to find freedom.
..and suggesting that destruction is the only saviour for our lifestyle.

Fight Club was absolutel brilliance. and as Oz knows i'm sure, you have to be right pissed/high to fully understand movies like this. i watched this movie once sober. liked it, but didn't get it on all levels. watch it a week later totally blasted, and everything comes to light and you realize just how deep the movie really is.
Matrix is one of those movies too, definitley. didn't wrap my head fully around it until baked one night.

One of the most best shot and filmed movie of the 90s, thanks to master director David Fincher. Who only outdid himself in Panic Room (anyone who has seen the 3-disc edition special features will fully understand his genius in shooting this movie)

I loved it, although my brother didn't. Because, I think, he didn't hear about it before and didn't know it was a great movie. I gave it my full and undivided attention, and it was awesome. Loved it.

I thought it was a good movie even though i think it is screwed up in the brain. Its funny and kicks ass because of the fight scenes and all the stupid shit they do in that movie.
I think it's just great.
