headlights and fogs dont work

The other day i was with my friend and we went to walmart with the headlights and fogs on. When we came out they wouldnt turn on.. the high beams work, and i checked the fuses already. It is a 97' A4. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

..its most likely the actual headlight switch..unfortunately, its a semi-common problem... might have to hit up the dealer for a new stalk :(

yeah, it's the switch. what type of headlights do you use? if they are higher than 55w then take em out. now put 55w in there and see if it works...hopefully you haven't killed it completely.
if you have then goto your dealer. the switch is $175. disconnect your battery and take your wheel off. it's pretty easy, just go slow. you don't want that airbag hitting you in the forehead!

im having the same exact problem as you and its the colum swithch needs to be replaced due to wear
