Big decision

I have a big decision approaching, I'm thinking about selling my Z28 Convert. and getting an SS. I bought the 94 Z28 a year ago w/ 109,000 miles on it. The car is in great condition, paint is sweet, runs amazing. My goal was to get the car up to 320-350 horse, which w/ exhaust, intake, headers...ect...would obviously be pricey. Not to mention rims...ect...that I would want to get.
But If I bought the SS, i wouldn't want to change those rims, cause they are sweet, and the SS already has my desired horsepower. I have several thousand more to buy an SS, but then talking about insurance...ect. I'm just not sure. I really couldn't do much moding by myself, so the mods plus installation...plus a car w/ 112 k now...I guess might just not be worth keeping and moding. Then again, it would be personalized, unlike if I bought an SS which i would basically have to leave stock (although a good stock) for quite a while. On top of that, I get my balls busted by my friends for still having a stock Z convertible...which dogs it against anyone else I go racing w/.
What would u guys do?

The ss doesnt have any more hp realisticaly, all it has is the ram air intake which can be obtained with a Cold Air Intake on a Z28, sure the ss is nice but your paying more for the name..... i wouldnt mind having one.... its a personal preference though
tacoma man.

I would go with the SS as well...Not alot of difference and some may say "it's just a name", however i think the appearance of it is worth it. You wont have to spend on rims, and the hood is MUCH nicer looking. I want an SS eventually but i'll probably get a convertible LS1 M6, since i already have a camaro with the LT1.

all i ment is that he isnt getting anymore engine wise between a z28 and an ss.... i would take an ss over a z28 hands down, but you have to pay for it...btw what year ss are we talking about?

MAN WHAT??? YOU DONT LIKE THE SALAD SHOOTER WHEELS???!!! im just kidding i had to get rid of those too, think about it like this, riding down the road, the camaro is going to feel about the same inside as the SS, so you're paying for a brand new version of what you have, think about if thats what you'd rather have or would you rather have money, and also remember this: i feels fucking great to bust brand new 30th Aniversary SS's ass in a 94 Z28 LT1, im tellin you, save yourself a wad of cash and cop some dubs and a supercharger and spend the rest on beer and food and gas.
you can make a cold air intake, gut the cat,buy a flowmaster and put headers on for $350 and easily be making 300 and some change, then a few parts to lay it down-torque arm, blah blah blah, and you're straight then go for some beef.

I wouldnt' take any newer camaro over my 69...I have, in my opinion, the best year camaro available (thought so before i had it too). When i get a SS it will be a newer one (00-02ish). It will be a black convertible M6 if I can find one. My 69 has the Lt1 so it can be my Lt1 car :)
