I'm getting the AEM Cold air intake( i found one for my honda finally) and i was wonderin if the bypass valve is worth it. I live in chicago and there is a good amount of rain but i dont know. I heard it has to be a massive amount of rain to even worry. Write a reply and tell me what cha think.

no, don't waste the money. I live in PA and we get your Chicago weather when you're done with it, rain and all. I've had my AEM CAI for 1 year w/ no bypass valve and no problems at all. I wouldnt get it, you lose power when installing it, and you waste a good $30.

it isnt my car. It's a jdm car cuz the battery is on the right side of the engine bay. Those are individual throttle bodies and yeah, it's probably a definite fuel guzzler. :D

Yeah, don't get the bypass valve for the CAI. I emailed civicsuperstore to ask if it was worth getting the bypass valve and their response was to not spend money on a bypass valve. Your filter would have to be completely submerged in water and how many times does that happen.:D
