clutch problems? please help!

Several weeks ago my clutch felt like it started to go.

I had no feel to the clutch pedal, as if nothing was there. Almost every gear ground hardcore each time, especially reverse, it would often take me multiple tries to get 'er into first.

I took it to a local guy. He checked it out, bled my hydraulics. He told me nothing really happened...that air had somehow gotten inside, dramatically reducing clutch movement.

Needless to say a few days later the problem returned.

Do I have a faulty cylinder? Or do I need to replace my clutch?

Anyone with advice is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i have 2 suggestions. 1 test the clutch by putting the car in third gear and let up on the clutch kind of quick if it doesn't stall the clutch is worn.. the farther up the gear the worse the clutch. 2 if the clutch cilinder is vacum fed check for vacum leak.

I can put into third gear with ease. In fact, third would probably be the softest gear.

Vacuum leak huh...I'm not sure if it is or not. How would I know whether or not the cylinder is vacuum fed?

your slave cylinder is not vacuum fed......guarenteed! In fact i am unaware of a slave cylinder that is vacuum fed anywhere/ever!
