How many times you been pulled over? For what?

OK, guys, be honest! How many times have you been pulled over? This INCLUDES verbal warnings, written warnings, taillights out, failing to use turn signals, accidents, speeding, barking like a chicken out the window of the car and getting dragged out, handcuffed and searched in a very disconserting way, etc... And what'dja get pulled over for? Finally, how many tickets have you gotten?

I'll start - unless anyone else wants to..... no? well fine then. :loser:

My number of pull-overs have been in the double didgets for some time now.

1) Pulled over 10 times for speeding

2) I've been issued 9 speeding tickets in 5 counties and 3 states.

3) I've been pulled over 4 times for malfunctioning car parts, i.e., my taillights were out. And one of them only pseudo-counts because the cop pulled me over and i came down the same street again later and he pulled me over again, not realizing it was me again.

4) I've been pulled over once for barking like a chicken out the window of the car. Yes, I had good reason. I swear. I think I've told tat story 'round here?

5) I've been pulled over once for driving intoxicated, but the cop, in an AMAZING display of grace, only had my friend come pick me up. 'course, the friend that picked me up, unbenounced to me, was stoned off his ass. I'll have to type that story up sometime. that's one of my best. btw, if you ever DO get pulled over while drunk, NEVER ADMIT DRUNKENNESS!!!

6) I've been pulled over once for reckless endangerment, which I got out of immedietly afterwards because the cop didn't notice initially that I was swerving to miss a lady who tried to pull out in front of me and realized she couldn't and stopped in my lane.

7) I've been cited once for failure to yield after my first accident. The second accident, I drove off before the cop could get there.

That's a grand total of 18 times.

At least that I can remember. I think I got them all covered. I guess next question is gonna be how many times have you gotten away before they can catch you...

Holy shit their man looks like you have your fair share of violations, me never! I keep updating my radar/laser detector and follow most traffic rules. The closet I have ever come to get in trouble while in a vehicle was when we were rollin down a back road while "rollin" stuff. There was a glare on the windshield and then we saw a big ol light on top of a big ol Michigan State Police cruiser. Lets just say that was a very tense moment.

Okay lets see, I think only about 4 times in my lifetime. Not counting getting rear ended.

Once in New Jersey, I had to double park to let my aunt out who is disabled, since a jerk parked in a diabled parking spot and the cops actually had the nerve to tell me, "I do not know how you do it in NY, but we do not do that here. Move the vehicle" After having a few words with him for not giving the jerk a ticket and seeing my disabled aunt getting out, the jerk still gives me a ticket for obstructing traffic. Jerk.

Lets see here, I am 17,
1 rolling a stop sign, warning
1 71 in a 65, warning
1 73 in a 65, warning....

And folks, thats the sum of it so far...

2 both resulted in tickets.
one for speeding and one for failing to obey a traffic control device.

And if you want to count.... one photo red light for (drum roll) running a redlight.

Yay I have a nice even number 10

One time for stealing roadsigns while drunk. Before yall fuss at me for driving around drunk it was on a dirt road that about 10 people live in at 3am....why there was a cop on that road I have no idea. Got charged with theft by taking but no dui because they couldnt get a sure breathalizer number thinggy on me. I had gum in my mouth and no one told me to take it out so it kept reading completely different things. Once I think it read 2. something...I must have been wasted!

Once for racing my friend, the only reason why I got pulled over and not him is because i schooled him and by the time he saw the cop he already had his lights on for me.

4 times on my way to my dads. One of the times I was about 5 minutes from home so I told the cop that I had to take a dump really bad and if he wanted to give me a ticket to either get it over with or meet me at my house...he let me go.

Once going home from florida making an 8 hour trip in 5 hours. I pulled off onto exits 4 other times avoiding cops but one finally got me about 100 miles from home. The great part about it is it was fathers day and I told him I was trying to get home to see my dad so he only gave me a ticket for going 80 in a 70

Once for not wearing my seatbelt in a full sized truck in Georgia, which is legal.

And a couple times just for speeding.

The great thing is out of all of these times of being pulled over Ive only gotten 4 tickets. You just gotta sweet talk the cops and show em some leg sometimes.

Two times, two tickets (got screwed over once).

1. Speeding...44 in a 25. Kind of lame because it was a commercial area on a Wednesday night, but I was speeding, so I'm not gonna complain.

2. Loud exhaust. This one was bullshit. I drove like normal from a light, the cop follows me for about 2 miles, I see him and don't speed, so he pulls me over for the exhaust. As he's writing the ticket, an older Vette drives by with exhaust twice as loud as mine. I get dicked over, the better car gets away.

Hmmm.......After driving since 1982 and at least a half million miles, I have been pulled over for:

*spinning donuts in a gravel parking lot, in dad's truck, no less. (ticket)

*driving along the shoulder of a really busy highway, passing the stopped traffic (ticket and highly deserved)

*Speeding while passing another car on a residential street (ticket)

*Having a loud exhaust on my thoroughly disreputable sex-machine-custom van. (When the cop found out I actually did not have his daughter inside, he let me go)

*Driving my nice, quiet, ordinary van at 3 am Sun. morning, for no good reason at all. The cop must have been bored (no ticket).

All this taught me is to have a good look around for the fuzz before I do anything adventurous.

-2 times driving wiyh no headlights
-1 california roll
-1 speeding
-many parking tickets
-Ive been let go though a few times in other cases ,like when I was speeding another time the cop let me go,When I was younger I got pulled over with this girl and we had a bong in the car.We also had good chronic and the cop liked it and called it danky. He made us break the bong ,he took the ganja and let us go.
Another time me and my homey were on the way back from frisco going south on the 5 and he was driving and we were smoking medical marijuana we got out there ,the highway patrol pulled us over. They then took him to jail, impounded the car and told me good luck.I walked about 30 miles south to a city called los banos and there he was in there jail. The next day they let him out ,We got the car from the impound lot for alot of money, and took off.

And Ive been pulled over many times for no reason and all the time they cant pin nothing on me.

It was during the "click it or ticket" campaign, the cop gave me a ticket and I took it by the police station the next day and they said not to worry about it and took it off. Guess that cop was just tryin to meet his ticket quota or something.

I've only been pulled over twice. Once for speeding (I was going 80 in a 55) at 2 in the morning coming home from a three hour drive with no one else on the road. He said I was doing well over seventy and just gave me a written warning for failure to obey road signs.

The other time was for sliding around a snowy parking lot also around 1 in the morning. The cop actually called my house at 1 in the morning and then when he didn't get an answer, he left a message asking whether my Mom wanted the cop to hold me there until she picked me up or to send me home with the appropriate paperwork. Written warning again. I still think its funny the cop asked the answering machine if it wanted to pick me up lol.

I have been pulled over only once, and it wasn't even my fault!! I was driving my mom's car, which had a rejection sticker due to a faulty air bag light. Cop pulled me over and gave me a warning. My mom was even in the car with me!! How embarassing...

i have been pulled 3 times for just the hell of it. 2 of the 3 was for window tint, and the tint on the windows are of legal standards. 1 other time cause i had a break caliper sticking on my camaro and it caused the car to pull to one side and the dumb ass cop was beside me in my blind spot and when id hit my break the car would pull, so he slams on his breaks and gets behind me and pulls me over. i told him what was wrong, and that i was only out in it cause my stupid brother needed a ride home from work and it was the only way i could get him home. it was 9 30 at night and no one was on the road. so he let me go, he though i was drunk. i told him if i was drunk i probally wouldnt have mad it as far as i did considering the car pulling hard to the right when the brakes was applied. i just dont know about some of them :disappoin ,
they make the biggest deal out of nothing

*Sigh*... The guy and I exchanged information but a gas station attendent saw the accident in the street in front of her so she called teh cop sthen came out and let us know. You know, just being a good citizen. I told the dood I didn't want another ticket, and he was in a hurry anyways, so we both just left before the cop could get there.

And I COMPLETELY forgot about PARKING TICKETS... To date, I've had over 40. I'm on the tow list on my University. I've had my fucking car towed once. Like a week ago. I was late to class, on like my first or second day, so I parked in a yellow lane that they NEVER check, I had parked in that exact place every day save for 10 last semester and had no problems at all. Turns out they were patrolling extra hard that day to teach incoming freshmen to park in the designated lot, so they saw me and my car got TOOOOWED. Then I got it out of the impound lot and wrecked it the next day.
And before that I parked on campus all the TIME becaues they couldn't actually charge me for the tickets since I wasn't a student there. And I'd get all SORTS of tickets. They're BASTARDS about tix on campus cuz it's a big source of revenue for them.

I've been pulled over 5 times for riding my dirt bike through town. The bike isn't street legal and I wasn't 16 yet. I only got verbal warnings each time. I got pulled over for a failure to yield turning left once...apparently the turn arrow went red while I was in the intersection and so the cop pulled me over about a mile down the road to give me the ticket. If I knew as much as I do now I'da fought it. I also got a ticket for going 62 in a 40...you might think that this was in town or near some sort of civilization, but there wasn't a house for 1 mile in any direction. I got pulled over for following a parking lot security guard around for 10 mins. I think that's it but I'm prolly forgetting something...

i've been pulled up once. i'm 17.
it was about 3 months after i got my learner permit.

i wasn't doing anything wrong, over here we have random breath tests.
it was annoying because the car's exhaust was too loud and i had to take off slow,.......... then just around the corner i redlined it and cracked about 65kph in a 50kph zone.

In Oklahoma 2 15 over speeding tickets equals suspended license.

Then i have the story where a police officer had mistaken my paintball gun for an actual weapon.(Tippman 98 Custom, Flatline Barrell, Sniper Fx Stock) That was right around the same time i graduated from my Criminal Justice Course.
so
1 lousy cop + 3 Violated civil rights + 1 educated citizen + 1 paintball gun + 5 tickets = 1 Officers badge.
It was a beautiful thing.

i've been pulled over 6 times in two years. four were actually because of my license plate light on my old 86 'stang being out the whole time i've owned it. never got a fix it ticket for that one, because it was mostly sherriffs that pulled me over for that one, usually just as an excuse to check if i was drunk or not. i was stoned during two of those stops, and almost got breathalizered. sherriffs are lazy about paper work(they just want to sit around and drink coffee at the am/pm) so i never got a ticket for that. i got a ticket for going 85 in a 55, which actually wasn't my fault since that huge, long ass hill just begged to be conquered (again and again) with the old 5.0. i'm just lucky i was going fairly slow that night. the final time i got pulled over, it was one of those nights where almost everyone gets pulled over. he didn't even seem to have a good reason, and finally just told me i swerved a little bit(he didn't even mention the license light). asshole. oh, and i almost got arrested for loitering one time. k so that doesn't count, but i was in my car at the time, and the fuzz just swarmed in because they thought i was the poor guy panhandling in the parking lot. they tried to string me up, didn't believe a word i said. they ended up thinking i was waiting for a drug deal. i got off clean, but went through twenty minutes of questioning.

55 in a 40 (the whole highway was 40, everyone went at least 50).. 112$ ticket..
and 57 in a 35. No ticket for 57 in a 35. That cop wasnt a dick face. He gave me a warning.
There was one time I was asleep in my car with my girlfriend, in the YMCA parking lot, and I woke up opening my door to a cop. Dont really remember anything before that, I just woke up looking at a cop with my door open. She said it smelled like weed and asked if I had been smoking weed. "No Ma'am"... she sais, "are you sure, even if you smoked earlier, and its all gone, thats okay."..... "No Ma'am".... lol... I was thinking, "no ma'am we didnt smoke it all theres still 2 grams in my bulging pocket"... but she ran my liscense for about 15 minutes which scared the fuck out of me since I hadnt paid my ticket for 55 in a 40, and I got a letter saying I was going to have a bench warrant for that. I told my girlfriend... Babe, Im going to jail tonight... well anyways, the cop came back and said, youre good to go, just drive safe, and dont park here at night, this is a private parking lot.... big load off my shoulders.

Dood, you got off lucky then. One of my friends got pissed and ripped up a ticket, the cop saw him and gave him a ticket for littering... A ticket with a court date. And thanks 98gtstang, I COMPLETELY forgot about my obstructed license plate stop. I had gone mudding a few days before and the plate was covered in mud. No ticket, but got stopped over it. The cop was nice about it and I got out right there and kicked the mud off, np.

I've only been pulled over once actually. 70 in a 55. It sucked because everyone elese was traveling that speed or faster. Right before the cop pulled out behind me some guy in a Lumina sped past me in the outside lane, yet I was the one that got pulled over. I guess it doesn't matter because he let me off anyway.

I've been pulled over countless times for (minor) traffic violations, ticketed rarely.
Only one really stands out in memory, though.
About 30 or so years ago, while pissed to the gills, I decided to ride completely naked on my BSA 441 Victor to the local market for more beer. It seemed rather a good idea at the time, especially with my mates, who were also totally sloshed, egging me on.
The bloody cop that stopped me was curteous enough, but he made me uncomfortable by continually staring between me legs at me cluster.
Let's just say that the consequensces were rather severe, and I have refrained from ever repeating the incident.

How many times have I been pulled over? and why? wow...I'm not sure I can count that high...lets see...I started driving when i was 16 and I'm now 22 so I'm gonna go with i wanna say about 80 times. I tend to be a good talker but sometimes, you cant get lucky. I've gotten more than 27 tickets in probably 15 states. I've gotten numerous speeding tickets, some drinking violations, talked a couple down to obstructed view, a few for "illegal components/mods" and one for street racing. I've lost my license twice. The most recent ticket was from July, the cop said i was doing like 80 some i think in a residential 25...however, it wasnt a residential, and no posted speed limit. Lost the license for like a month I think, paid some hefty fines and knock on wood, i've been good ever since...yeah, some would say I'm not the best driver, but you can form that one on your own.

PS-I'm not proud of the tickets I got...just the ones I talked down...so please don't think I'm gloating.

1. speeding in a campsite(ex girlfriend told me to speed up and at that moment when i hit the gas, i got pulled over. cop says, if u didnt hit the gas right in front of us, we wouldnt of pulled u over!)guess thats why shes an ex!!!lol
2. got pulled over the first day i got my license!!! speeding 63 in a 40, got it thrown out in court.
3. got pulled for speeding in my moms corvette, 88 on a 70 mile highway in ga. funny part was i was bringing a quarter pound of trees from atl to fla. they never searched my car cause i was sober and cooperative!
4. got surrounded in a parking lot and searched. they thought we were buying coke or something, but we were just going to subway! had weed and alchohol on me. they let me go and took my license to the bristol police headquarters and told me to pick it up there!!!!!so basically he told me to drive drunk with no license!!!!?????sometimes cops are so scandalous!!
5. pulled up to a party and was surrounded by cops breaking it up. they smelled weed and searched my car.they found my 2ft bong and some weed and were gonna let me slide, until they searched the trunk and found an open 30 pk of brew!arrested!probation, the works!!!

Only once. I was pulled over for supposedly doing 90km/h in a 50, but the cop so kindly brought it down to 65 which is alot closer to what I was actually doing but still higher. I would have fought it but didn't have the time/money to be bothered with it.

The other day a classmate of mine got pulled over, was cited for 3 moving violations and failure to prodcue proper documents, all in a single stop.
