I'm in the market for making my exhaust look good...I own a AT P11, so do not want a loud exhaust. Would anyone please make comments on what mufflers (axle backs) I should look for? I want a relatively quiet muffler with a nice elite note with a decent sized single bore or dual outlet.
are any Borla mufflers any good? are they loud like a Riced-out Civic? don't want that...
thanx guys! :D

I use a remus exhaust with 2 1/4 pipes to the CAT. The sound is amazing but I have to do something about the internal resonance within the car. I'll be working on trying different resonators.
I'll record the sound this weekend to show you what it sounds like

dude, remus is one excellent exhaust system. :D but the price is out of my league for my G20... :( aren't they like $750+ for the catback? I just need a axle back for my G as it's only a AT and just want good looks and a substle elite tone. wish RSR was still out here in the states...
anyone know if the N1 from Apex is loud? I really don't want a loud exhaust as AT cars sound like sh't with loud exhaust during the shift points.

hi dudes, got a Aerospeed universal muffler today. it sounds great, not too loud, not too soft. it's a clean sound. it's a dual outlet with bores that look like Remus exhaust. looking very goooood.
lost a lot of low-end torque, but the high is still there or even more pronounced than before. even at wot, the exhaust doesn't sound like a riced-out civic. total $250 including installation. :D

it's HIGHLY UNLIKELY that you will lose any lowend torque with an Aerospeed muffler....it's highly unlikely to lose (or gain) anything with just the muffler....and being it's Aerospeed...all u'll gain is the noise.

luke dude - you think ? the low-end RPM torque is gone compared to stock. possibly not enough back pressure.
the noise he's referring to, is fantastic. :D wata cheep way to get a good looking, good sounding muffler.

if you didnt change the whole piping and just did the rear section, most likely the backpressure will be teh same...however, AEROSPEED is another one of those company that spends $0.00 in research and development and just copies the exterior design of established brand names. so if you end up gaining negative horsepower/torque, it's very common with these products. I would know since (due to business reasons) i sell lots of these parts as well.
BUT in your defense, it is a very nice "style" upgrade.
