97 Explorer Heater Valve

Any idea where the heater valve on a 97 EXPLORER, v6 is located? The heat will not shut off and I believe the valve may be stuck open. I'd like to locate it so I can check it out. Thanks!

Passenger side, under hood, on the heater hoses going into the firewall.

Heat will shut off regardless of heater valve condition. I'd check the blend door.

Ihave a similar problem the Heater valve is OK, i now have it locked closed... It is vacuum operated, Does any one know how to get at the Inside temp control?

I don't know if this helps but I have a 97 and the heat shut off and would only blow by force,(open window suction or 60 miles) we replaced a black relay under the fuse compartment 5.00 and that didn't work we replaced the blower motor 45.00 by the way it didn't blow while on ac either.
