You know when you got your wheels spinning in the snow, trying to get out..? Well, what should i leave my AT in..? :banghead:

I'm guessing D1-to keep it in first so it doesn't climb through the gears..? :screwy:

Another thing, does spinning your wheels in the snow have the same BAD effects on your diff and diff fluid (and everything else/tranny/engine etc) as doing a burnout on dry pavement..? My friend told me never to spin my wheels in the snow, even if i'm stuck, cause it's really bad for the car. :nono:

PS, one thing i know now...is leave the traction control off when they are spinning-sheesh.....

I have heard that D2 will give the wheels less torque and less chance of spinning when starting. And i think burning out in the snow is the most fun u can have with a T-Bird so just have some fun.

More power will be going to the wheels with it in first I wouldn't bother doing any thing like that because it would probably just make you spin worse.

when stuck in snow just rock your car back and forth(forward&reverse)keeping the car moving till it feels like good momentom in one direction then stay on it steady til the car comes out...

Thanks INNES. Yeah i finally got used to the "getting out of snow" dilema...

Pissed off cause today, while getting out of my lot, i must have hit a small pile of snow cause my drivers side fog light cracked-it looks horrid. Man, i spent like an hour hooking these lights to my car... :banghead:
