Heating Issues

Have a 2004 Sienna XLE... so I have the three way heat option. If the fan is on full blast, all the heat levels are set to 85 degrees and it is in the floor option... after a few minutes, the back seat passengers are roasting (and sweating), while passengers in the front, still have cold feet.

Various people who ride in the front seat, comment how cool it is.

Dealers says: "That's just the way the Sienna is, it's working normally."

HUH? If it says 85 degrees... and my feet are still cold, how is that operating normally?

Just wondering if anyone has seen similar problems, or if ther is anything else to try.

Thanks for the assistance.

I had a similar problem but not quite the same. I set the automatic climate control to 72. After stopping a warm engine to pick up someone at the airport, we come back about 15 minutes later so the engine is still somewhat warm. Since it is cool outside, (less than 70 as indicated by outside temperature guage,) we turn the climate control on but turn off the A/C. Hot air comes out of the vents and roasts us!!! The only recourse I found was to turn the A/C on.
