too soft steering in 92 prelude, something is wrong

the steering on my prelude is too soft, and the tyres turn to easily, its lowered with 215/40,17 tyres and it always used to stick to the floor, but now i am afraid of going fast on curbs as i am not very secure with the steering, it used to be harder before and better, can anybody tell me what the problem could be?

the distributor went, so i put in a second hand one whilst i wait for the new one to arrive and this distributor aint that well, could it be that?

i did change the power steering belt , alternator belt, fan belt, a/c belt and the timming belt as well as the clutch before xmas took it to the mechanic to do, could this be it?

i dont know why but i think that the distrubutor i have which is not ok, is causing problems with the clutch and steering, is this possible? the pedal keeps changing feel.

aren't those there to make your turning more tight?

yeah, so that shouldn't be the problem

Did you check the end links on your sway bars? I know some people have had their end links fall off or disconnect.

no thats tight, the problem is that the steering is too soft, and when i drive and get into a curb i get the feeling that the car is going to go, and it has always stuck to the ground excellantly.

I'm kind of confused so I jsut want to clear something up. Are you saying that the car itself doesn't feel like it's holding well in corners or that it's just your steering wheel? If you really want to "feel" the road, take that power steering belt off.

the car itself is not holding well in corners, and the steering feels to soft, this must of course be a mechanical problem right?

I Think The Distributor Is Not The Problem Since It Does Nothing For Steering. Have The Power Steering Belt Checked . But Another Possibility Could Be Your Tires.is The Steering Soft When Your Parked, Or Is It Normal? If It Is Normal Then You Should Check Your Tires.

Another idea is that your power steering fluid is low.
