Turn Signal Clicking noise

Help! The turn signal clicking noise continues after the signal stops blinking in my 2000 Blazer...is this something I can fix and not have to go to the shop?? Thanks!

Sounds like you turn signal switch is getting caught up in the column.

If you turn the switch in the opposite direction does it stop?

Clicking starts when ingnition turned on. No change when turn signal stick (?) is used for brights, but when the right or left turn indicators are used, the clicking may pause to get in synch with the turn signal light. The clicking stops when the brake pedal is depressed, then slowly resumes after the brake pedal is released, until the cadence matches the "normal" turn signal sound. I would first replace the flasher.

My 2000 Jimmy had a similar problem, start with a new flasher. If that doesn't do it, I'd suspect the Multi-function switch in the steering column. That is a garage type fix, and it isn't cheap. If you end up at a garage, stay away from the Stealerships (Dealerships) as they want $200-$300 for the part and labor. Luckily mine was covered under warranty.

Am going out to buy flasher ... hope it works! Called dealership (like the "stealership" phrase) just in case there was a TO on this problem...no such luck. Unfortunately don't have a local garage ... have one for the 1990 Audi .. and will be looking for one for the blazer and suburban! Thanks for the help!

easy fix, i had same thing happen is the flasher under the glove box, did u by chance have a trailer hooked up, thats when mine went but it was a cheap cheap easy fix!! go to autozone or advanced auto and its alot cheaper. but that should cover it.

Ended up being the multi-function switch -- expensive to replace.. item was $192.02, labor $135.00. Luckily covered by extended warranty...a first! Thanks for everyones help!
