Ignition switch won't turn off and release key

My ignition switch won't switch off all the ways sometimes. It doesn't do it all the time and I don't know if its the shiftlock solenoid because it never gets stuck in park. I am stationed in Turkey and there are no chevy service centers here. Also where is the soleniod so I can check it to be sure? Thanks for any help!!

Check the switch in the shifter.

It shoudl release the key in park.
