Anybody else out there have squeaks and rattles in their instrument panel? Any experiences to share about resolving them? Damn thing almost sounds like a GM!!!

Try applying some double-sided foam tape.
Ahhh, the beautiful music of two plastic surfaces rubbing together.
It's like a field of horny crickets.

Ouch!! I just read my comment "sounds almost like a GM". Sorry. Sure doesn't drive like one!! :))

Yeah, that's the only thing that bothers me when driving the car. When the car is cold the dash seems to make a couple of rattling noises until it warms up inside. Actually, my old Dodge Neon didn't rattle at all, but like you said, it sure doesn't drive like a Neon! or GM for that matter!

Let us know if you find out where the rattling is coming from. :bigthumb:

Seems to be coming from all over the IP....I held the HVAC trim with my hand and that stopped some of it while I held it tight. I had a guy with an '02 tell me that they had some windshield install issues that led to rattles that year. My glovebox door doesn't fit - it doesn't close snug to the dash and I can't see any adjustment - but, surprisingly, that doesn't appear to be causing noise.

It's too freaking cold up here to really look at this stuff.....I managed to change my oil and filter today and wash her down. I am still thawing out two hours later!!

Oh - and I busted the air cleaner upper housing - trying to remove the breather hose so I could examine the filter!! :banghead: Wonder what that puppy costs!! Crazy Glue, perhaps?! BTW, the filter looked brand new!! :banghead: At least my checking resulted in the discovery of some very dirty cabin filters. Guess a lot of people don't know that they exist.

I know they exist. My mechanic charges a fortune to replace them. Get rid of that restrictive stock airbox, you'd be much better off with a short-ram or cold air intake. Breaking it is a sign from the Acura gods... :iceslolan

Sign from the Acura gods, eh?! Cute. Probably true. But since I just got my first ticket in this car (see nearby thread about stupid Sheriff Dept. politics), I may need to hold off and use that cash to pay the judge.

You mean the cops, right? Well, from what I see in this penal colony, all the Bible - thumping right-wingers are miserable and they all want to become cops/military so they can be miserable and self-righteous. And when they see someone enjoying themselves, they need to do something to change that pleasure. Did I answer your question?

I thought all the Bible-thumping right wing extremist types wanted to grow up to be President? :evillol:

Yeah, I've got that rattling as well. Quite annoying. I think it's the air vents bouncing around.

They do want to be president, but there's only one of those positions available.

It completely depends on what part of your country they are from....If they are from the north are rich little spoiled right winged pretend bible thumpers (affair with the secretary?) then they want to go into politics and eventually be the president while keeping minorities down

If they are from the south then their poor stupid inbred bible thumpers who dream about becoming the county sherriff or country drunk (both are good) and really just want to marry their sister
