I am trying to install a 791xv in the grand am but i cannot get the door locks to lock and unlock together. I am just wondering if anybody has installed an aftermarket keyless entry system or an alarm in this car lately. and if so then how the hell do you get lock/unlock to work on the same wire. I have tried many differnt methods given to me by installers on another site but no luck. so if anybody knows exactly what im talking about then fill me in please, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks

OK, I assume that you've found the correct white wire? The only proper way to find this is to use a meter and meter it while pressing the lock buttons.
You've got the Viper unit that has doorlock outputs that kind of reverse. So when the green wire shows 12v the blue shows ground. What you need is 2 relays. So you need to isolate those with the relays. On the relays there is diagrams that tell you what does what. So, I'll tell you what you need to connect those to....
86-to green(or blue) wire from Viper
85 to ground
30 to ground (or ground with 1500ohm resistor to ground)
87 you'll take both 87's from both relays together to the white wire.
If you have a local shop, you could get a 451m relay pack that works well and a little easier to hook up for this. It even comes with the needed resistors. Anther option would to be to get the 456L module that is made for one wire systems. It learns the needed resistance.
