what's under the hood of an 1989 Excel Glsi

im this close <---> to get a 1989 Excel for $ 100, for a engine swap in the future, but i don't know what kind of motor its under that cars hood. I think its a 1500 carb, but does the "Glsi" means something special, like 16 valves and DOHC instead the regular 1.5 8 valve SOHC Excel's classic engine ???

If I am not mistaken, the 1986-1989 Excels had the 1468 G4AJ engine. Which was 1.5L 4 cylinder 12 valve SOHC.
