The daytime running lights are working fine, but when I turn the switch to turn on the parking lights or the headlights, the number 9 fuse on the side of the dashbaord fuse panel blows. This fuse effects the taillights and parking lights and the dash board lights. My brake lights and turn signals all work. Where should I start? :banghead:

You've got a short in the system being affected by the fuse. Consider any recent work you've done in those areas. I wired trailor lights on mine and started blowing turn signal fuses because of a bare spot on the trailor connection. Try eliminating each system, starting with the simplest ones (i.e. the tail lights or parking lights). Hope this helps.

A quick way to find which wire it is:
Remove the bulbs on the affected circuit. Using an ohm-meter or a continuity tester, connect one lead to ground, probe the socket with the other. If you find ground on both contacts, that is the wire that is shorted.
Another trick that I heard of, but have never used myself:
put an auto-reset circuit breaker in where the fuse is. Trace the wires with a compass. When the contacts open and close, the needle on the compass will deflect before the short.
