Is it possible to put a newer model (13bt 13 REW) engine into a 89 or 90 RX7 for relatively cheap? Please don't give me one of those "Any engine into any car is possible" answers...i am completely burnt out on those. How hard is it to do this swap? Is it worth it? And what all is involved? Can the turbos go in with the engine too? thanx in advance!

Depends on how much you get the engine for and how much it will increase performance on your car.

Yes it can go, but from what I've learned from sites like Mazdatrix (http://www.mazdatrix.com) and talking to a mechanic that knows rotaries, there are very little differences in the actual motor/block between the 2nd and 3rd gens. The big differences are the turbo's, intercoolers and intake systems. But if your heart is set on swapping motors, I believe you have to either change the position of the motor mounts on the car, or swap out the front housing for your old one so they line up.
