Ok - i wanna know what ya all use an what u all think is the best headlamp an driving lights (aka)foglights bulbs to use in the GP cause ever car puts out different in certain bulbs like u could have for say cool blue in ur car an sucks but works awsome in a ford pick up - any way - i use APC Gas Plasma Bulbs 100watt/65watt an they suck i think ... an i use silverstar driving lamp bulbs an one blew out in about 2 months after installin it so i dont really like APC or silverstar for the fogs atleast...

What do u think - let me know your favorite an what u think has the best output/most powerful.... without spending $750 on High Intensity Kit

:smokin:
Thanks _

how the hell can u see at night the stock bulbs on my 99 were poor the headlamps were crystal clear but the bulbs put out a almost dimish lookin yellow color that sucked... so i try new an they suck -- I have had the car since it was brand new in 99 (first owner)

Help me out here fellas - what are u all using for headlamp bulbs?

I use street glow bulbs for both my fog and headlights, i love em there are super bright, but i found out the fogs are so bright and put off so much heat that after about 6 months i checked them because i noticed that alignment was not right and that damn thing melted that fog housing and droped about 25 degrees. other than that i love the bulbs.

For the fog lights anything ove stock wattage will either melt the lens or the housing.

Not much to really improve the headlights, sure we can make them look whiter, but they arent putting out anymore light down the road.

Only true way to improve them, is to spend the bucks and get some HID's

Big-L,
Do you know if any of the HID kits are street legal? i'm not afraid to spend the money as long as they're legal and won't give me tickets.

IIRC,the only HID's that are legal, are the one's that came stock.I havent heard of anyone having any problems with them ,that have bought the kit.....just stay away from the Blue/purple ones....the lower K they are,the whiter the light.Try and stay with in the 5000k or lower and you should be fine. Here is a link for a kit on Ebay that's 5300k for $300.00 not a bad price Click Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33710&item=7907928421&rd=1&ssPageName=WD1V).You could also email the seller and see if he might have something lower like 4300k which is OEM color in the new BMW and LEXUS.

~Larry~

Just found another site that has a 5300k kit for 290 + free shipping
Click Here (http://www.superhids.com/7009.html) But remember you lose the high beams, but who care's,unless you have state inspection and they check your headlights. Our high beams suck anyway

This is a picture of the 5300k HID's
