block heater is starting to weep. is there much to replacing the part beside draining the coolant? Any tips beside getting the manual.
might just do a flush while I'm there...

I replaced mine a couple weeks ago. Just loosen the bolt in the center, (probably rusty) and let it drain that way. A friend of mine told me that there is no other way to drain the block...
Make sure b4 you put the new heater in that the surface is free of rust, dirt, etc... Put a little bit of sealer on the O-ring, and dont overtighten it.
Not a bad job to do, but a little messy.
