I wouldnt say the KA is a bad engine man. Yea, auto can kinda suck but the KA has potential. Turbo the KA, suspension upgrades and maybe some little bolt ons for the price of buying, shipping, and installing a sr20 would be.

I dont like the Exhaust and the wheel offset is weaksauce...

No offense, but you sir are jumping on the bandwagon. I love the KA also and think its great (will be turboing instead of SR), but its the new fad, SR's are still the shit. And i doubt you could do a GOOD turbo on the KA, buy some suspension worth buying (not some offbrand wierd stuff), and do a couple bolt on's for the price of a SR install. Just MHO..

Stupid wheels, stupid exhaust, stupid automatic, and a kid who doesn't have a job and will probably have his parents buy it for him. Forget that car and get a manual in stock form that hasn't been abused. And get a job and pay for everything yourself.

It makes you a damn lucky, spoiled person. I have owned five or six separate cars in my life, and worked my ass off for every one of them. I currently own three. Everyone paid for by me. I pay for college, my cars, and everything I do, and am currently saving for racing school. I wish my parents would buy me a car. Although then I probably wouldn't like the ones I have as much as I do. It doesn't bring you down because your parents bought your car, you're just lucky, or spoiled, however you want to look at it. Don't worry though, I live in Orange County California, so I'm surrounded by spoiled people. Just the other day I watched a kid I knew from high school drive by in a brand new Corvette with a bunch of gay mods done to it. I live in spoiled kid heaven, too bad I'm not one of them.

I have a decent job (House Manager at a movie theatre), and it has all happened over time. All my cars I got for really cheap. I live at home still, and I have pretty good money management skills. At least when I want something, I will save up and get it.

My parents bought me my car and have been pretty supportive in what Im doing to it (Ive paid for most of my Mods myself) and I know Im lucky as hell. I dont think people that have had they're parents buy things for them are spoiled (I guess Im Biased though) I think the point that It becomes "Spoiled" is when the parents get send themselfs to the poorhouse just to buy their kid a brand new car to show off, also when people dont respect their cars that pisses me off. That being said I think there is a logical cap on how much you should spend on a car for a 16yr old... per say a brand new Porsche for a college student

The SR is the biggest fad since the backstreet boys everyone that has one or wants one should jump off a cliff. I will remain behind to kill every Japanese person with an SR because they were to trendy to swap to the KA and then I will kill everyone at Nissan of Japan for creating a trend then I will use the motlen Aluminum from all the SRs to create a giant robot which I will use to kill all the KA guys so they cant start a KA trend...

I was on floor staff for a year, showed interest to become a projectionist and got promoted, was projectionist for a year and showed interest in management and got promoted, was an assistant manager for 2 years and got promoted to house manager, and I have been House Manager for 1 year. I have been at my job for 5 years. Next step is running my own theatre. General Manager here I come.

Yeah projectionist is way easy. As long as your mechanically incline it's really easy to learn. If you do get a position like that, make sure to learn everything you can. Read all the manuals about the projectors and ask tons of questions to the technicians. I learned everything I could and tried to fix everything that went wrong, when there was something I couldn't do, I called a technician for help, If he had to come out, I asked lots of questions, and helped as much as I could. You have to really work hard to get promoted, and the pay even up here isn't very good. It's enough to get me my right now though.

i maybe lucky but please don't call me spoiled because you do not know me. i have to work as well to pay for the rest of my stuff, even though i'm not quit at the level that you are at, i also have to starve myself to save up for mods cause my job doesn't enough to pay for gas, books, utlities, food, girl friend, and mods. so i compromise my health for my car.

just becsue theres a bunch of spoiled kids at your area, don't compare me to them becuase i appreciate what my parents do for me alot, and i hate spoiled kids myself. i wish i can kick their ass becasue they take everything for granted, and dont' respect their parents or elders, i am not like that at all, i always help my parents out whenever they need the help, i also work 50+ hours a week as a mechanic in the summer, i work 20 hours a week to pay for my own living during school, and i get excellent grades in college.

don't ever call me spoiled. just because i am more well off then you doesn't mean i don't appreciate what my parents do for me, and that doesn't mean that i don't know the value of the dollar becuase like everyone else here, i work too, and i always try to find the cheapest way to make the car faster, stop better, etc etc, thats why i always use custom junkyard parts etc. i pay for the mods myself and i do most of the work myself.

This sounds good when said, but when you actually look for a 240, you'll mostly find the engines around 130,XXX miles..Its not very reliable to turbo a naturally aspirated engine at that many miles, rather than buying another engine that was meant for turbo and has half or less those miles. In no way am i arguing with you because i am 100% for turboing the KA, im just stating that you also have to consider both sides.

Wheels aren't bad, better then stock, exhaust sucks though, but color is cool, spiler and automatic have to go

don't worry about it, i really respect the guys who can do it all on their own. i am hoping that when i graduate i can break all my financial reliance of my parents away. but no beef, its cool.

Nice RW240, that was a good one. Oh, I happen to love my stock wheels. I have the SE model (1991) and I love my wheels. I would much rather have the stock SE wheels for that car than the ones it has too. I think the alloy wheels that come on the SE 240's are nice and the perfect size. Of course when I fix up the car 16" Gold Mesh wheels are coming but that will be my last mod.

Anyway, as for the car.....LOOKS good i admit. Exhaust is gay, as mentioned, and trust me bro, automatic is no fun...i have both manual and auto. Started with an auto THAT MY PARENTS GAVE ME (as too the argument of being spoiled or lucky), then i BOUGHT my manual. So i can fight both sides of that argument lol. But coming from an auto to a manual makes you realize the auto version doesnt even let the potential of the car out.

and another point to the spoiled parents buying you a car thing. A car is pretty much needed for a teen to get to work school or what not. Its almost a basic necessity. 240's are actually cheap ass cars that are quite affordable. So if your parents buy you one i wouldnt see how your spoiled. But as of them buying you a somewhat moded one and a fairly newer one, i could see the argument. Like when i see a kid and there first car is like a brand new car of the lot, im just like wow dumb parents im going to laugh when that thing is wrecked and beat to fuck in 6 months. Cuz face it when everyone first gets there liscense they drive like a bat out of hell. Atleast i know i did lol. Although i have never been in a wreck that was MY fault. But iv been in like 5 accidents lol. People cant drive.

Speaking of accidents, hard lesson learned when I bought my 1994 Honda Del Sol and rolled it on a freeway off ramp on day 5. It sucked my car was totaled. Who cares about me, remember the car was totaled. Remind me not to take that turn so fast next time.

you have to have some work history to get a loan you cant go get a job at mcdonalds and go get a loan i doubt they would give you a loan for just starting a job and why do you say it is yours when it isint and most likley never will be if you want a 240 go for a stock one and mod it how u want it.

I agree. I started with a '90 Chevy Cavalier that was given to me (auto of course...) and then I saved up and bought my manual.

speaking of which, i was "given," i guess is the term, my first car... an 87 chrysler lebaron at a yardsale, yes, a yardsale. there were clothes, furniture, old records, and oh yeah, a car in the grass for 700 bucks. it ran on 3 cylinders, had no suspension, motormounts, tires... etc. i fixed those things, rebuilt the head and sold it for 1300 two years later. then saved up and bought my 86 turbo z for 3k. i have to say, that lebaron was my inspiration to never drive a car like that again, and if it werent for that car, i might not be interested in cars now. after the papa johns pizza guy totalled my z, i sold it for 1k and used the remaining insurance money to buy my 240, so i cant complain, its been easy for me. the only thing that sucks is that my dad loved my z, and i wanted to keep it for as long a possible because of that. he passed about a year after i bought it, and the only thing i can say is that the pizza guy was lucky of that.
