got a quick question here. ive got a 96 VTEC engine from an accord. can i get this into a 94 civic amd if so will the civic tranny mount up to it? i know nothing about hondas so im open tou your ideas. thanks

is there any way u could tell us the engine code if u know? left side right next to the exhaust manifold or headers it ill say something like f22b... or somethign of the sort. its prob gona be a bit hard to swap but its possible

i dont know the engine code. i havent bought the engine or the car just yet because i wanted to figure out if i could make it work first. im gonna go check out the engine to make sure it looks good. i just dont know about it yet, it could get scary. i dont know if the engine will bolt into the same mount areas, if the transmissions are interchangable, or if the wiring is anywhere close to being the same.

no, accord motor (f-series) into a civic is not gonna work. some people put prelude motors (h-series)into civics. the only good ideas for your civic are D an d B series motors, unless you were to be a very very skilled and experienced honda tech.
so no, dont expect to get that accord motor into your civic. D and B series harnesses are interchangeable, but other than that you cannot match up f and d series components like block N tranny, wiring, etc.

It's just like doing an H22 swap, you even use the same aftermarket mounts. I don't have a clue about what wiring you'd have to do, don't know much about Accords.
