I am looking high and low for an old 1969 SS to restore. So far I've found nothing. I want an old beat up 69 ss to fix and resto from the ground up. Does ANYBODY know where I can find one? I don't want to buy a half finished project car that someone's going to charge me twenty grand for, I just want a beater for around a thousand bucks, with or without an engine in it to fix up. CAN ANYONE HELP ME OUT??? I'm located in arizona, and would be willing to drive to a neighboring state to retrieve a car.

There are probably millions of people out there just like you, finding a car like that is gonna be very tough, even a junker. Good luck with it though, it would be a very tight car if you could restore it.

If you want an origional 69 SS, even a beater, you are gonna have to shell out a couple grand...If you want something cheaper, but still looks good (IMO), get a 69 Chevelle beater and restore it, they run around a 1000 bucks...

you have all put a very poignant frown on my face... I need my camaro, but for the time being I think I'll cry and then get a Nova or a Chevelle or something.... NOT HAPPY :(

Yea the time of finding cheap and decent 69 camaros is LONG gone...I was lucky enough to pick mine up almost 8 years ago for 2200 for a running all original car (low optioned) and it had to have the lower rear quarters replaced...Now if you want a camaro with a good body, and i mean good, not looks good or fair with paint, expect to spend around 10k+...My car with the old engine/trans it did have had offers of 8-10k just driving around and being waved over. And it isn't a great bodied car, just minimal rust and lots of rock chips and paint chips in general. There is a guy where i'm at now that would probably offer 12-14k for mine as it sits...69 Camaros got VERY popular recently and they're becoming harder to find. If you must have a camaro pick up a 2nd gen camaro you can find those at a reasonable price. Find an early one and they can be pretty sweet!
