I want to turbo my 91' 240sx but i dunno which way to go. I saw on boostdesigns.com a stage 1 kit for about 2 grand, is that a good buy for what it comes with? Or should I buy all the turbo parts that i want seperate. I understand that this way will be more expensive but i will be getting what i want. What would some of u guys do?

what type of system are you looking for? i would piece togethor a kit, cheaper, and you get quality parts (not that BD is cheap though).

i say go boost designs, its a good kit to start with and to get your foot in the water, they are tons of room to improve once you have the basics, a really nice complete kit its the f-max turbo kit, its pricy tho but it has every thing except bottom end, you can run 14psi saftly and make close to 300whp with proper tunning, i just say if your shooting for 300whp on stock bottom end get a jim wolf ecu, raise redline and does a good job of tuning fuel, also i believe you need to retard your egnition timing by a few degress, visit ka-t.org its a good site...

Search google for F-Max.

boostdesigns is a great first kit. Very good price too. Like turbo2nr said, go to www.ka-t.org and look at the boostdesigns boards.

And IIRC JWT takes care of timing as well. I would double check timing under WOT though because I have heard some JWT stories about improper timing. Good luck.

Boost Designs makes a good one, same for SS Auto Chrome. GReddy makes a complete kit also, but its a little pricey.
