hey I don't know much about bimmers and I'm seeing this E30, E46 stuff. I'm assuming the 2002 325i falls under E46? that seems to be the newer cars well let me know thanks

Yup, the 2002 325i is a E46, even though it looks different from the pre-2002 E46's. It's just a facelift. See BMW Codes (http://www.bmwworld.com/repairs/codes/vehicles.htm) for more info.
