I am from Indonasia and I got a ticket in Cehsterfield (Missouri) 61 over 35. it's not a school or construction area, nor residential area.

I am going back to my country I do want to pay my ticket but I don't know how as I have to appear in court and the date is somewhere in end of Feb. Now my queries are :

What if I go back to my country without paying.

How can I pay it if I can't appear in Court as I will not be in US.

How can I pay it before my leaving b'coz my file still not reached to the court and even if it reaches before I leave how can I ensure that I will pay it before I leave this country. Moreover I have been told that the court only sits on Teusday, so that will further going to delay the process. I there a way to pay my fine at earliest, which I am willing to.

Does anyone have any idea how much I will be charged (61/35 = Exceeds by 26 mph) and the court fees.

An early reply will be highly appriciated.

Thanks to all.

If you go back to your country without paying, I don't think theres much they can do besides restrict you from coming back to the country (via denying your visa) or arresting you if you do come back to the country.

Being that the ticket is 20mph+ over I would imagine it to also consist of a reckless driving charge. On the summons you were issued when you recieved the ticket, there should be a phone number for the court office. Call and ask for payment instructions. Usually you can pay before court, but I don't know about reckless driving charges.

hope this helps!

do you have any idea how much I will be charged. How can I quickly deposit this fine as I have been told that the court only sits on Tuesday. Is there any other way to pay it quickly as I do have genuine reasons.

Call the county court's office, explain the situation to the secretary, and get payment instructions from them. Explain you wont be in the country for the time of the court date, ask if you can just leave them with a signed plea of guilty and if they could contact you in your home country with the amount due, and then you could send it via check or money order or travel's check or something.
