Z-3 Performance

Well I blew the last post, lets try this again. I have a 2001 Z-3 3.0. Its quick, but not what I would call fast. Also the 6% high the speedo reads by design really irratates me. Seems I have some options.
I can trade up to a 01 or better M Roadster or I can add a supercharger and intercooler at some yet to be determined cost.
On the speedo, I understand this is a design issue with BMW so I suspect that even if I trade up to an M I'll have the same issue. So it seems that a somewhat larger wheel is in order.
Anyone have comments or other suggestions?
