We need more details. Are both cars stock? What trannies do they have? How good are the drivers?

Stock for stock, manual for manual, and with equally skilled drivers, the Maxima should win. It has a pretty hefty power advantage(255 vs 210), and the Eclipse has the added disadvantage of awd.

weight is the disadvantage awd gives you one the highway.

for example, take an Eclipse GSX and a GST. race em from a launch, the GSX wins everytime, put em on the highway, the GST wins cuz its lighter. sorry for the non-Nissan anology.

gst is the FWD eclipse, GSX is that AWD eclipse..

AWD=more metal=more weight= bad in highway race...

yeah, also dont you lose more power when it reaches the wheels because its divided up between the AWD? I might be wrong but im just taking a guess...

yah you probably do, the big advantage is your start of course, and the fwd eclipse has a lot of torque steer which is a bitch, my friend has one with some mods but she hates the torque steer, u dont get that with awd

BTW AWD will dodge big rig at 100 mph FWD will hit the big rig 100 mph...RWD will DRIFT UNDER the big rig and WIN! LOL
