hey i am new at this forum. i bought a spec v about a month ago and was looking at mods. so far i have found 2 intakes that look promising..the aem and the injen. can someone give me some feed back on the past experiences with these 2 brands?? also, does anyone know if there are cat back systems available for the car yet?? thanks a lot.

So far onone I know has tried the injen or aem intakes yet. As far as the cat-backs go, no one has really put them together yet. I've tried DC SPORTS, HKS, GREDDY, TANABE. If you really want to put one like right away then your best bet would be to buy a name brand or other brand muffler and have the place custom make you the piping. Good luck :alien:

as far as I can remember there are a few places that have CAI's availible for the Se-R's..they are
Place Racing
Hotshot (just released)
AEM
Injen
Now as far as cat-backs go you can get a Stromung which is a bolt-on and the sound, look, and performance is increadible....Or like said you can get a custom cat-back using whatever can you'd like....

As far as intakes go, there will be thousands of them. Just avoid trendy ones that look restrictive (BOV-look filter, anyone?) and get one you like.
Now for exhaust, that's a tougher one. I know there are some available, with more on the way. But I can't help thinking that it's a bad idea to just toss the factory variable-capacity muffler. I've been sinking a lot of effort into what amounts to a computer-controlled butterfly valve just down stream of the cat. Trust me, for sheer driveability, it's the best thing short of VVL (or VTEC for you Honda people). Larger pipes are probably in order, but having exhaust tuning hardware already on the car sounds really nice. If you do decide to scrap the whole system but want a tunable exhaust, email me for the how and how much.
Ah, screw it. You want peak power, get 2.5" mandrel bent pipe and a straght-through muffler.
