did you purchase the rex yet? is it an Si? Any amount of money saved will benefit the rex, however i don't think you can do anything too major with $250, maybe some headers and an intake, or a nice custom exhaust. First, answer these questions?

3. How much is your budget? I know you mentioned the 250 but are you planning on dropping more into it?

where you put your money now depends on what your car will do later. so first...you really want to decide if you want to do a motorswap, and although you dont need a swap to run 13's, but you might need it to kill the v8s that are running 10's 11's and 12's. if it was MY money, i would put it towards suspension first. id rather have my car handle great first, then speed second. you can get a nice set of springs for around 150-200 dollars. or, you can save that $250 and pick up a set of TEIN basic coilovers for $500 more. not only will springs/coilovers improve your handling, but they will give your car that aggressive stance on the street.

20k into a rex seems kind of overkill "bro". just my 2 cents, but for 20 grand I would personally invest it in something else if youre serious about that kind of money. like a later generation civic and swap the k series in there. but like GTA said, its your car.

also, like nismo power said, your definitely gonna need something bigger to mess with anyone pushing a decent v8. and chances are, if they do have a v8 and will race you, they're confident that they can beat you, meaning they have invested some money into their car. Make sure you surprise them....

i dont hope to invest more than 10k.. ill be holding on to this car all through hs and college probly.. and will be a great first car to learn to drive, and work on cars

how old are you....9? $250 isn't much for building a car, a decent car anyways. You need to saveup and make sure you don't cheap out.

So the impression given off by your statement is that the car will not be a ten-second car, but will have about $20,000 put into it.
I'm trying to think of what you might have possibly TRIED to mean, and the only thing i can think of is that you meant to say : Will not be a 10 second car but rather, a 20 second.

I checked into what K could possibly mean when used (or abused) as you have. Heres some theories:

Was it a 20 dollar bill and you saw the origination marking of K and therefore knew the bill originally circulated from The Federal Reserve Bank, Dallas, Texas?
Perhaps you just got back from the eye doctor and he gave you a Keratometric Reading of 20, or 20K and now you know the curvature of contact lens you need?

sorry everyone, for some reason this kid pikas last post annoyed me. anyways nismo_power, referring to 20.000 as in what? i still don't get it. Money? Time? someone explain to me what the crap you all are trying to say by saying 20k!!!!

He probably doesn't even have the car yet so relax. And what's wrong with a little neon glowing from under the seats?

Heres my :2cents: Buy a cheaper MP3 player. I got a 256 MB internal (expandable card spot) MP3 player for $80. Then save the rest for later. I mean $250 might not seem a lot to some people, but $300-400 I could put you together a decent "junkyard" turbo kit together. Or $250 could almost buy you some new Rotas. What comes first in your eyes?

Before I would buy the Ipod I would get a new Sirius or XM radio system. The new ones you can take in the car, office/home, or portable. In my opinion Ipods are over rated.
