89 SC head gaskets

OK I found a 89 Souper Coupe that I want to buy for a really good price. I talked to the owner and he said the reason for the low price is because of blown head gaskets. How much would head gaskets cost for a SC? I'm not talking about installation because I have a friend who can change the gaskets for me. I just need the gaskets.

A head gasket is usually no more than 30 to 35 bucks but the only problem is the labor is ungodly it involves taking apart the engine. So be sure your friend will really do the work.

My '89 needed new headgaskets. I had it done a couple of years ago by a semi-shade tree guy for 600 bucks. I am sure a real shop will charge over a grand.
