My 89 Cavalier runs and starts fine when the weather is warm, but when it is cold, it just won't start. It turns over fine (new battery) and if I can get it to start it runs great. Most of the time, it turns over and over and over until the battery starts to run down...I've tried pumping the gas (causes the smell of gas to occur), not pumpinig the gas, removing the air filter (more air??) and nothing seems to work.
It has new plugs, wires, 5w30 oil, and I just changed the two coils (what a job)....nothing has an effect...HELP!!!!!!

Does it see like a carb motor without choke? If so clean you IAC valve. There is a sticky on this and if you search photos of it location. I basically lets air by-pass the throttle butterfly to raise the revs in the cold!

To test if it is this, put you foot on the gas and raise it to about 1500 rpm and see if it stalls out then!
