Hey guys, I'm new so bear with me. I have a 92 s10, and I'm having some problems with the accessory power plug on the dashboard. I keep frying 20 amp fuses from the horn/DM. The items that blew them were a million candle light deer spotter and my cell phone. Can I put a 25 amp fuse in there to support these, or is it a short somewhere?

One or the other dude, not both. And *NEVER* "upgrade" a fuse. Put 20's back in there just like what came out. Otherwise, I would make sure that your fire premium is paid up for the year before attampting this. ;)

Let's see, a '92, I suppose you mean the cigarette lighter socket. Change it, it is bad.

Your are drawing too much current for the fuse whether it's the accessories or the socket shorting out. If the circuit has a 20 amp fuse, it should have a normal draw of about 10 amps. If you put a larger fuse in the holder, you stand the chance of overloading the wiring and causing a fire. Not a good thing even in the cold months.
