SLP intake runners 85-88 (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=esearch.asp&N=100&Ntk=PartSearch&Ntt=sle-20002&x=17&y=11)
Anyone put these on their 3rd gen? I want to get them done before I get dyno tuned, but I'm not sure how hard it is. A few sites say that the 89-92 runners are a simple bolt on upgrade, but no one says a word about 85-88. Is there some complication I'm gonna run into, like having to take out the fuel rails or some other crazy crap? Any help appreciated :sly:

I had installed Runners on my TPI vetter and its not difficult at all from what I can remember. Your will need a Torx bit to remove the bolt but its a pretty much bolt off , bolt on mod. Also I remember feeling a instant improvement up top but didn't feel like I lost anything down low. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I still have stock exhaust manifolds and heads, should I even bother with this mod?

I would do it, I would also install a adjustable fuel pressure regulator at the same time though. For 2 reasons. One cause you will have to remove the runners to install it later on if you decides to anyway and 2 the new runners will flow better and allow you to add more fuel to compensate for the extra air giving you the best gain from that mod.
